MDC 9: On the Road Again

On the Road Again

It's vacation time! Time for us to pack our bags and drive back to Texas. This week we talk about how we plan out our vacation. From ReAnna's obsession with lists to the general problem with driving 18 hours with 4 small boys, vacations are always a case of hoping the fun outweighs the stress.

This week has been a ball of stress as we prepare to take our trip back to visit our families back in Texas. Even though this is an annual trip, every year is a bit different. This trip we are going back for ReAnna's sister's High School graduation. On top of that we are now up to 4 children. The chaos reminds us of  one of those old Goofy cartoons where everything blows up by the end.
A big part of the plan involves lots of packing lists and making plans to cut costs. In one town we are staying with family, while we are staying in a hotel with kitchenette so that we can cook real food and avoid fast food cost. On the same note, we are also cooking and packing our own food for the road to avoid that cost as well.

Of course we can't keep on track for very long. This week we veer in and out and talk about hating pregnancy, Texas brand loyalty, Blue Bell Ice Cream, ReAnna's obsession with lists, and teaching ReAnna's dad to use his smart phone.
